SEAGULLS V HUMANS WITH A FINE
What an insult to anyone killed or injured in a road accident.
I read in the papers on Monday that seagulls are protected fully under the law.
Which states it’s a criminal offence to harm a sea gull or its nest
Do so & you will face a fine of up to £20.000 &/or 6 months inside
How can any animal be worth more than an injury to a human?
Knock someone down, as in my Grand Daughters case & the driver is fined a paltry amount & Erin sentenced to life in a wheel chair, as are many other children
In the other cases, not even a court case, it’s a disgrace; you lose a child because another driver basically does not see them?
Robyn was in the middle of the road, yet still hit by a car.
A policeman stated at the FAI that for her age [53], the driver of the car could not, or was not expected to be able to place maximum pressure on the brake pedal.
Does this apply to every driver? It has to!
Alexander was almost against his mothers car window, yet hit by a driver not paying attention, if he was how could he miss him?
Yet no case to answer for this driver.
So there we have it, I am sure their must be thousands of cases regarding injury caused by a vehicle, or even by assault by other persons, who have never been fined near this amount, & often never seen the inside of a prison.
So once again it seems, to a very ordinary person like me, looking at this, surely I cannot be the only one who thinks the law has got things wrong again, can I!
That a bird’s life has more value than a humans, there is something sadly very wrong with our legal system, & of course those who make it
